New Destiny’s
Residential Treatment Program

The residential treatment program at New Destiny has one of the highest retention rates in the country. People stick with our program because they know it works. In fact, we have helped hundreds of men, just like you, overcome their addiction and go on to lead happy, productive lives. Our residential treatment plan consists of psychological and emotional counseling, education, physical exercise, spiritual guidance and the healing power of Christ. Our goal is not only to help you recover from your addiction, but to prepare you fully for your next chapter.

“I have learned that you have to believe in and have faith in a Higher Power. I have tried to do things on my own in the past and I was missing the spiritual relationship with a Higher Power.”

– Former New Destiny Resident

    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

As you decide on your next steps, you are sure to have plenty of questions. We’re here to make sure you have the answers you need. Below are some of the questions we get most often. But if you have a specific question, please call us at 330-825-5202.

DO I HAVE TO COMPLETE TREATMENT?
Yes. When you are assessed at the beginning of your stay, you are diagnosed with a level of addiction. This diagnosis comes with a recommendation for treatment that is a legally binding statement that says you will complete the full treatment program. We are bound by law to provide such treatment and you are contractually obligated to stay until treatment is complete. NDTC is NOT a lock down facility. You are free to leave at any time. However, leaving before your treatment is over may result in:

    a. Not being able to come back to NDTC for additional treatment
    b. Not being able to receive aid from NDTC for housing, schooling, or vocational referrals
    c. Possible legal implications especially if you are on parole or probation
CAN I HAVE A CELL PHONE/MAKE CALLS WHILE IN TREATMENT?

Clients may not have cell phones in their possession while in treatment at New Destiny Treatment Center. Phone calls are prohibited in general for the first 30 days as a matter of policy. After the initial 30 days calls during the week can made at security or in weekly one-on-one counseling sessions under the supervision of a counselor.

DO I HAVE TO GO TO CHURCH?

Yes. New Destiny Treatment Center is a Christian Facility. As such, Christian teaching, worship, prayer, and worldview practiced everyday at the Center. It is a central point in our treatment plan.

    CAN I BRING HEADPHONES/ MP3 Player?
Yes, Clients are encouraged to bring Cd Players and MP3 Players. However, any electronic device that is able to connect to the Internet is prohibited. All media on such players must be free from vulgar language, drug and alcohol references (per active addiction), violent, prejudicial, demeaning and immoral content. Media devices are subject to random compliance checks.
    IS MEDICALLY ASSISTED TREATMENT AVAILABLE?

Yes. New Destiny Treatment Center offers Vivitrol. The Vivitrol injection is given every 28 days. It is not necessary to participate in the Vivitrol program. However, Medically Assisted Treatment along with completion of Inpatient care and a relationship with Jesus Christ is what we find to be the best chance for lasting recovery.

A Suboxone taper plan for the first 30 days is available for residential clients as medically necessary.

CAN I SMOKE AT NEW DESTINY?
Yes, at appointed times, in appointed areas.
