The program offered
by the New Destiny Treatment Center involves an intense and well-structured
schedule in order to accomplish its mission. The daily schedule begins
with
a 6:30 a.m. rising time and concludes with a 10:30 p.m. bedtime.
The schedule includes classes in psychological education, substance abuse
education, twelve-step recovery, spiritual formation, and GED readiness/computer
literacy.
Other services provided include daily group counseling, weekly individual
therapy, recreational activities, medical services, urinalysis drug screening,
and case management.
A client may not have visitation or receive phone calls for the first thirty
days after being admitted. After thirty days, family may visit on the scheduled
day and time and attend our chapel service each Sunday at 10:00 a.m. A
client
is not permitted to leave the facility for ninety days, except when accompanied
by staff for medical or court appointments. When sufficient progress is
made,
the client may be permitted one overnight pass every other weekend.
Drug testing is administered on a weekly basis as well as randomly. One positive
drug test is grounds for dismissal.
Clients are expected to perform work assignments each day as part of their
daily treatment routine. Each client is responsible for his own program.
The New Destiny Treatment Center
serves adult males between the ages of 18 and 60. The treatment center works
with all courts and agencies that are willing to cooperate with its goals
and purpose for treatment.
Many of the clients served by the treatment center are referred by courts
to receive treatment in lieu of incarceration.
A case manager must assess the individual. (New Destiny Treatment Center reserves the right to deny treatment based on the evaluation of the individual.)
The individual must be committed to nine months of treatment.
The individual must agree to comply with all rules and regulations of the program.
The individual must be willing to conform to new behaviors and attitudes (e.g. no fighting, cursing, or using substances).
The daily cost
of treatment can be obtained by the calling the office at 330-825-5202. The
daily cost includes lodging, meals, clothing, toiletries and treatment. Prospective
clients who are unable to pay for treatment may register for benefits through
the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.
